Ruiqi Tao

Graduate of Master of Urban Design, Department of Urban Planning and Design, Faculty of Architecture, the University of Hong Kong

Ruiqi is a graduate student from The Hong Kong University, studying a master degree of Urban Design. Before coming to Hong Kong, she finished her bachelor in Planning and Real Estate from The University of Manchester in UK. She enjoys exploring different urban phenomenon like gentrification, housing issues from diverse academic angles, and she is passionate about taking urban design practices in a more creative, interdisciplinary, or theory-supported way. She is interested in critically analysing planning approaches and theories under different planning systems, and she is well experienced with developing masterplan, conducting property appraisal in UK and also making urban design in Hong Kong and Dubai. In 2022, she has co-published an article with design solutions, to react the need of social interaction and the popularity of hybrid working in the post-pandemic period.
